5 Mocktails To Take Your Taste Buds On A Wild Ride

Vegetarian, Beverages

Mocktails are something we live for in this hot and humid weather. We all should have been in our favourite cafes and baristas sipping on our favourite drinks, but here we are, stuck inside. But that’s no reason to be sad because while we will tell you about these refreshing drinks, you might make them at home.

The ingredients in mocktails are so simple that they are available at your local market or maybe right in your kitchens. You just have to bring on your fancy glassware sitting in the cabinet, which you couldn’t use until now, and take your taste buds on a wild ride.

1. Pink Lemonade

Now you may have had pink lemonade mocktails before and wondered how it is made. It’s surprisingly simple to make this refreshing drink at your home for which you need Cranberry juice, soda, sugar, and a couple of lemons

While the process is very simple, you have to boil water and sugar together to dilute it, so it mixes well then just combine one part of cranberry juice with two parts of soda and lemon and sugar syrup, well just make it according to your taste. And a great plus point to make this at home is you can always adjust the sweetness and the sourness according to your taste.

2. Chili Lemon Soda

This is something new because it is the spice that you don’t get in your everyday mocktails, and the way lemon, soda, and chilli go together will surprise you. For this, you will need green chilli, lemon, sugar, soda, salt, and a couple of mint leaves for freshness. Now take the chilli in a pestle set and add lemon, spoons sugar, salt, and the mint leaves and grind it together until it all mixes well.

We’d suggest going easy on the chilli for your first batch while adding more if you like it later on. Now to jazz things up a little, you can cover the rim of your glass with lemon juice and dip it in salt to get the full experience, then add your mixture and add soda with a couple of ice cubes if you like.

3. Lemon Mint Iced Tea

Let’s be real. As Indians, tea never leaves our lives, so why put it aside in summer? For this drink, you’ll need tea, sugar, lemon, and mint leaves for freshness. For this, you just have to boil sugar in water, then add the tea, then just let it cool. When it’s chilled, add your lemon juice and mint leaves and maybe a lemon wedge or two to fancy things up just like your favourite cafe and enjoy it on any fine day as you probably have the ingredients for this recipe in your kitchen right now.

Most of us have fond memories of good old Roohafza whether you had it after coming from school or with your evening snacks. We all have had it, but what if you could spice it up a little and your good old Roohafza can become the star of your party, so for this rose lemonade, you’ll need Roohafza, lemon, mint, and soda for the fizz. As simple as it gets, you have to add the syrup to the glass, then add soda followed by lemon juice and crushed mint leaves, and your childhood partner becomes all-new while its smell still takes you on a ride down memory lane.

The current cafe culture has made mojito extremely popular among us because it’s always a safe option when you go to someplace new, but these limitations on going out to have made us miss our good old friend. So why not make it at home with some Sprite? While Sprite will give you that fizz, it also has the perfect amount of sweetness, so just add some lemon juice and crushed mint leaves along with some salt, and you have a decent mojito right at the comfort of your home. Enjoy your favorite mocktails at home.

Enjoy these mocktails this summer and do let us know how it was. Take care!
